Would that the Supreme Court looked like that. Meticulous detail. But, Jeff, kitties scratch with their back legs. They wash with their front ones.
(Ours is a six-cat household.)

jkshaw, yep, you’re right about how cats scratch, and about the meticulous detail of this toon. Danziger is subtle about his commentary, though, no? I think he’s criticizing her remark, which I agree was imprudent.

She stated her comment probably wasn’t “PC” at the time. In a choice between anyone who’s seen the real world, versus a white man of privilege knowing how to respect the law and Constitution I offer a single letter: “W”.

Sooky rottweiler says;
six-cat household? not that long ago, I would have called that a hunting ground, but I stopped chasing cats since that mommy cat is in my old doghouse, nursing her kittens. I just can’t chase, them, it’s wrong to be mean to a new mommy and her babies, no matter what animal it is.
See? I may be a dog, but I’m a gentledog.
Now the only dog I can’t stand is my human’s mother’s cat, Mittaines.

I just love Danziger’s complex, intellectual tones and subtle yet solid notes. There’s a sweetness too, but not common sweetness - he’s an intellectual, but he’s a gentleman about it. What an artist!
