rush limpbolls is the most annoying, un-american, racist, intolerant, drug-abusing, hypocritical, self-aggrandizing(sp?), blow hard wind bag that i have ever had the displeasure of hearing or seeing. i respect the opinions of most repubs i hear from, but even repubs should be ashamed of this idiot.

Hey! Maybe he and Blago can do their own version of Hannity and Colmes. It’d be funnier than “The Daily Show.”

Haha ;P I guess I better be careful, saying something positive about Rush makes people crazy…But guess what?…Danziger has obviously NEVER listened to Limbaugh’s show.

Limbaugh is a sweetheart for a lot of folks it seems and some of them deserve him. ;oD

Limbaugh is a pompus A**, but much of what he says makes sense. I guarantee that those who hate him have never listened to him.

“I guarantee that those who hate him have never listened to him.”

You’d lose that bet. I’ve been listening for years, and even have read his autobiography. If you’ve read about what he thinks of his career in his own words, its clear he thinks of himself as an entertainer, and the more attention he gets, the better. He’s not particularly interested in presenting reality, as that gets in the way of the entertainment. The result: he’s just makes stuff up most of the time, and the more outrageous the lies, the better, since they’re more entertaining than the truth and brings him more attention.

I can listen to him for about 15 mins a month. I just can’t stand thecondescending BS, the name-calling, the straw men, the unwavering ideology, the name-calling, the stretching of truth, the hypocrisy, the denial of empirical evidence, the name-calling, the intolerance, the twisting of numbers, the name-calling… etc… ad nauseam.

He is NOT a productive member of society and contributes nothing to REAL political discourse.

    lalas,
Part of the definition of PORN is “No redeeming social values”.
    ,
I will carry a mental image of Limburger porn in my mind.
    ,
H#ll, I can’t even do that, he is so abominable.

I once had the unfortunate “opportunity” to listen to him quite often at a former job–the guy by me had control of the radio & listened every day. Yeah, every now & then–at least back then–he started with a legitimate gripe, then take that argument and run into the deep outfield with it, losing any semblance of a good point. Mostly he is just off his rocker. These days the more he talks the more he marginalizes himself.

It’s great to see all the comments.
Gush Limberger is the pole you use to test the depth of the muck on the bottom of a lake. What he gets away with can be measured by the number of people who listen to him. Multiply that by the number of imitators like Hannity and Coulter, and you have an idea of how deep the muck is.

michael: I’ve heard the “entertainment” argument and is probably valid but is non sequitur - I have to winnow wheat from chaff all the time in Media. And Cartoonists = ENTERTAINERS, are they irrelevant?

LALAS:I can listen to [them, NPR]for about 15 mins. a month. I just can’t stand the condescending BS, the name-calling, the straw men, the unwavering ideology, the name-calling, the stretching of truth, the hypocrisy, [the creation] of empirical evidence, the name-calling, the intolerance, the twisting of numbers, the name-calling… etc… ad nauseum.

[They are] NOT […] productive member[s] of society and contribute[…] nothing to REAL political discourse[, but we ALL pay for them with our tax dollars thru LIB pressure!]

    lalas said, 9 months ago

LOL! Yup, NPR is nothing but a bunch of name-callers. Pfffft what-the f*&% ever. I understand you disagree with them (duh), but any parallel between them and Rush is idiocy and you sir are an idiot (well established at that).

During the lie-fest that was the run-up to Iraq, NPR listeners were the group with the highest percentage of people that knew Saddam had nothing to do with 9/11.

    If anything… NPR is center-left.

It’s well established that calling someone an idiot IS name-calling…

    lalas said, 9 months ago

Indeed it is. Sometimes it is unavoidable when dealing with idiots.
