I really hate it when people stand too close to me when they talk.

Look at the bright side, it means you don’t have halitosis.

I knew we were getting back to Star, but this is a real abrupt transition from yesterday to today.

If I had a pretty lady moving in on me like that I would take the hint and get better acquainted.

    -
The standard of “too close” is culturally determined. (For casual acquaintances, or strangers that is.)
    -
North American and northern European personal space is much larger than that of S. Americans or southern Europeans. For some Asian cultures, anything short of touching is fine. (Even there, it’s generally not acceptable to e.g. attempt to share a stranger’s jacket, while they’re still wearing it. That would be just a tad too close.)

Is Paige using a different font for the characters’ speech?

I suppose it’s a latin thing. I don’t go in for all this cheek kissing either.
