Sequestration did indeed originate from within the ranks of The West Wing Staff of Obama.

Speaker Boehner’s stock line is that the House has already acted, but this is a lie. The House acted in the last Congress. The two bills that were passed in the 112 Congress died as soon as the 113th Congress was sworn in.
    .
If Boehner is serious about avoiding the sequester, why isn’t the House voting on anything? The answer is because Boehner doesn’t have the votes to pass anything. In May, 16 Republicans voted against their own party’s sequester replacement bill.
    .
By refusing to act Boehner is revealing the hypocrisy behind his tough, but empty words. House Republicans have not only embraced the sequester, they are actively working to make sure that it isn’t avoided.

    .
With 750,000 jobs at stake – not to mention the furlough of hundreds of thousands of federal employees – this is a total abdication of leadership from Speaker Boehner and his caucus.

It’s the only way to get Owebama to cut spending. So bring it on, it’s only a cut in the increase of spending. That’s something the Dems don’t want people to know. They want us to think it’s the end of the world or something. Oblamer specializes in drama. That & campaining.

Interestingly enough, Federal spending has actually dropped under this Administration vs. the previous Administrations as a % of GDP. When folks bring up the deficit they fail to realize or purposely ignore that the two “unfunded” wars were actually put on the books and there was this thing called the Great Recession which caused Federal outlays to increase (as they would when people are unemployed through no fault of their own). Of course you know ‘deficits don’t matter’ when the GOP is in office but a Dem in office and suddenly the world is ending and we’ve all become socialist stooges.

Because Obama demanded it be part of the Tax Increase Bill and bullied Congress into voting for it.

Wrong! Not according to the CBO, they said during Obama’s first three years as President, he out spent the total combined spending of all 43 of his predecessors during their entire tenure as President.

Odd how when a Democrat is President he is not responsible for spending, it is The House, yet when a Republican is President he is responsible for spending.

    Congressmen are elected to represent.
The president is elected to lead.

    Leadership is needed.

This is the result of 5 years of President Obama leadership.
It is time for President Obama to lead, way past time.

This would not have been a problem if the President had a budget.
