There’s a guy in my family (ok it’s me, but it’s the rest of us too) who figures “hey, we’re family, we’ll always be family and so I can be a dipwad all I want, they’ll still accept me, ‘cause we’re family”
.
And then they stop inviting him to the family events, and they stop showing up at his family events and… well there is no acceptance.
.
The Republicans felt that they could be as belicose as they wanted to be, after all, we’re family. But then when they offered a fight over the debt ceiling, the idea was floated of a $1T coin. The Republicans saw that the President and the Nation were declining their invitation to a Debt Ceiling showdown.
.
And now they’re all crying because the President isn’t acting like Lincoln (forgetting that Lincoln had just kicked the living poop out of Confederate Army) after 600,000 people had died, with an other 700,000 injured.
.
Just like the Right: They want all the glory and perquisites of surviving a struggle, but with out any of the struggling part.
.
You lost! You are continuing to lose. You lost in ‘92, you won in ’94 then squandered it, you got thumped in ’96, you lost in ’00 you won’04 (except the popular vote for Senate) you lost on ’08 and in ’12. And you continue to be a petulant little child.
