They were just arming the bears, supplying the “honey” to the nasally challenged north of the border. It isn’t so much about the “grass” feeders who can get local supplies of that.

The reslugs seem to forget that FBI efforts to ask gun dealers to report when they sold more than two semiautomatic weapons in a week were savaged by the NRA. No names, mind you, just a hint.
colcam said, 11 months ago
The FBI does not handle gun sales reporting, the ATF does, and the Fast and Furious project was an attempt to track the supply chain and take it down— but did not work. The cartoon shows that the cartoonist has an opinion, and facts don’t matter, just his opinion.
Wish things in real life were that clear.

Fast and Furious has NOTHING to do with Republicans. It’s an Obama production that resulted in hundreds of deaths.

I notice nothing is said about a ‘well-regulated militia." Which Gordon Liddy has said is written using grammar indicating that was only a provisional part of the Second Amendment that was not meant to last past the period of the Revolutionary War. Then there was the commentor on gocomics who informed me ’well-regulated’ at the time of the Revolutionary War meant well-trained, not regulated in the meaning it has today. Right then, the Revolutionary War has been over for centuries, so why hasn’t the Constitution been declared outmoded? (In law as well as in practice, that is.) Also, if it comes to that, what then did infringed mean back then?
ghostkeeper said, 11 months ago
Ah, to defeat or invalidate. Therefore, the Second Amendment can be amended, as amendment does not necessarily mean invalidate. After all, the Constitution has been amended without invalidating it.

Regardless of what Liddy had to say, the Supreme Court ruled quite conclusively that the “well-regulated militia” is separate from “shall not infringe on the right to bear arms” Deal with it. It’s the law. If you want to change it, you need to change the constitution. Simply passing laws to try to do an end-run around the constitution doesn’t work anymore.

WHY the elephant being blamed for ‘fast and furious’? Misdirection again? Or is it Obama was blown away and not in the picture anymore?

True!! Wide Receiver was the Republican screw up, but you don’t want that mentioned, do they, you silly troll.

@Ms. Ima
Do a little research (use Google, not Faux or the Dittohead) and you will discover that ‘Fast and Furious’ was preceded by ‘Wide Receiver’ during the Bush administration. It was a failure – many of the guns made their way into Mexico. William Newell, the Special Agent in charge of ‘Wide Receiver’ was also in charge of ‘Fast and Furious’. Jack Ohman seems to be saying the results of both operations are consistent with the GOP’s avowed resistance to gun control.

@Ms. Ima
I agree, Ima; your Constitution is very clear; the Second Amendment guarantees the Mexican drug lords the right to those guns.

The Supreme Court has also ruled slavery is legal, segregation is fine,money is free speech, and Bush beat Gore.

it is a common thing among democrats….it is the don’t blame me syndrome. The devil made me do it or one of their other thousand excuses for not taking the blame for what they have caused.
