….and I see you know nothing about Art – especially about making sculptures. That’s the “rough round” of stone a Sculptor starts with; s/he uses the chisel to chip away at the “dream figure” inside the stone (as it looks in the Sculptor’s mind).
That’s the reason behind that sculptor’s comment; Sculpting is a slow process.

There is no provision in the contracts for a nation to drop out. Major oversight! And the money we have stored is called “Neue Deutsche Mark” and is only to be used in case of a real emergency (like war in the Euro-zone or someone flooding the system with fake Euros)…

It’s going to take longer than Harry Reid and BHO to pass a budget in the Senate! OMG, that will be years!

greece with wall streets help cooked their books to get into the euro. the deficit restriction which even germany violated should be eliminated or at least increase the deficit percentage. and, now the brain drain of greece, ireland, spain, italy, portugal begins. the dream of an united europe from the atlantic to the urals doesn’t look good.

Yes, because they would either need to vote out all the Republicans who are openly working to make them fail, or to change the Senate rules so that a minority isn’t allowed to obstruct the process.

Thank you. I usually have to say something like “They need 60 votes in the Senate” every time this rant comes up,

I can’t see Greece being able to go back to the drachma. It would be worthless to any country except Greece, and I’m not sure it wouldn’t be like the Deutschmark of the Wiemar Republic internally.

A Budget in the Senate can be passed with a simple majority, which the Dem Libs have.
Gary Kleppe said, about 1 year ago
@onguard
Au contraire. It’s true that a majority of Senators are Dems, but relatively few of them are libs, unless that characterization is defined as anyone to the left of Mussolini.

I see you know nothing about The Congress of Wonders comedy group.
The reference is if you are poor enough even a large potato is cause for celebration.
.
And yes, I do know about sculpture. Michelangelo would study a piece of stone until he could see the sculpture that god had placed within it, then Michelangelo would free it from the surrounding rock.

You didn’t seem to object to those rules when YOU fascists were in the minority.
How about holding a vote, a simple up or down vote on a budget. I realize you haven’t done that in more than three years, but you must remember how it used to be done.

Are you calling Democrats, fascists, or Republicans?

I guess you don’t understand what “budget reconciliation” means. The Senate is not going to consider the Ryan budget (the only one that’s passed). Again. So, it is time for the House to stop posturing and propose a real budget (which they won’t this year).
