It’s about how the updates of software are so annoying that they might as well be treated as a problem.

We have Windows updates turned off on our old computer, because they take so awfully much room that the computer gets way too slow.

That mom is just like my mom and my father-in-law. When my hubby goes to his dad’s house I fear he may have so much to fix – he won’t ever have time to come home!

Your mom sounds just like my technology challenged wife.
She wants a smart phone but can barely use a flip (yes a FLIP) phone. She keeps forgetting to turn the DAMN thing off. AND ALL SHE HAS TO DO IS CLOSE IT!!!
We got a computer and she is clueless to the extreme. At least she never touches it. I do.
All we look at is purses and clothing.
She has never asked “Can we buy it online???” yet.

That’s why I keep my parents’ and grandparents’ computers in safe mode with networking. No screwups! (usually)

I HATE THEWINDOWS UPDATE VIRUS!” I’ve been looking into removing it for the past 6 years. It looks like it has attached itself to the OS. I makes no sense when I rebuild the machine with a clean install of Windows and the virus is still there!
