"In the Sticks" is silly, absurd, smart and LOL funny. It's an affable strip about an ex-golf professional who's inherited a nearly bankrupt golf club populated by three very odd animals who (usually) try to help him make it work.

Very fun to see the sketch, the notes and then the final.

I like this two-for-one deal – two punchlines for the same comic, and they both work! Although the first version sounded a bit more like how I’d expect a little blue bird to sing…

I enjoy the “crude” side and the smartass tone very much.

I think this song is funnier than the rough, because it’s one of the most recognized folk songs of all time.

As a comics expert, it’s interesting to see the process played out like this. It’s one of the benefits of the World Wide Web. You couldn’t see anything like this in a newspaper … maybe a book.

The finished art looks great. I also like the word balloons.

Hi friends, my name is John Glynn and those comments/edits you’ve been seeing in the roughs have been made by me based on our editorial department’s input.
Let me just say we’ve had our ears to the ground and we’ve heard what you’ve said. Starting (after we clean our ears) on Monday the 2nd of November we will stack the rough and the originals.
Thanks for reading. It’s nice to know there are still some smart people out there.

Inane, poorly drawn, no character relationships, and where’s the humor … Please go back to school and finish 10th grade.

This is the 1st comic strip that I had the opportunity to follow from day 1. It’s interesting to watch all phases from rough to final. Kinda like child rearing….NOT.
