   There are a lot of empty seats at the start of baseball season because the games don’t mean anything. I think baseball season should be shortened to 100 games, basketball season to 50 games and hockey season should be cut by a third. Fewer games means they matter more and thus more people in the stands. Oh, and I am against football going to 18 games. Stay at 16 and cut preseason to 3. Also, put the Pro-Bowl back (after the Super Bowl).

        While we are on the subject of football;  Players should get 40%, owners get 40%, and 20% goes for expenses (utilities, non-player salaries, maintenance, etc…).  If the team doesn’t use all 20% it goes into a fund and saved so when they need a new stadium the taxpayers don’t have to pay for it.  Oh, and rookies get no more than one million a year (total) for the first 3 years.

    I agree with pamlicorat. The 82-game season, plus 16 to 28 more for the Cup teams, is just too long.
