@A-team :
You guys have turned into a great bunch of friends I have never met. The laughs have been needed in my life for sure. I know I have posted many things that appeared ‘strange’ or odd, but nothing has been without reason. You can tell I take a stand very seriously for some things that are serious and that being said I hope some day to be able to meet each of you because unlike Wiley (non-sequiter) I still believe in the future ‘division of forces’ so to speak. If Scripture is right, how you treated me matters and I trust we will end up on the right side of wrong when all is said and done,You have helped keep a really exhausted person something to look forward to each day - usually just a good laugh here and there can turn a day around.
@BC13 - you get the perseverence award for sure - most reliable ucomics friend as it turned out, with Offside and yyyguy right behind you. Keep saying ‘A’ in the bleachers for me, OK? It goes well with your ‘BC’. I may be able to check in, (YHWH willing), but won’t be able to post anymore.
When the comic is about football, remember the double reverse; when it’s about golf, remember you can play a whole round with just an 8-iron; when it’s about hockey, remember a great goal can be a great save.
If the Vikes win the Superbowl, I’ll be cheering from wherever I am. My last avatar should remind you of Steve McQueen in my favorite movie!
High five to all of you,

I will surely miss your posts - they could be thought-provoking or downright side splitting.
This site won’t be the same without your influence. High five to you.

and as for today’s bleachers comic,
well, as long as you don’t get caught, everything’s legal….
like gouging the eyes out of your opponent while in a pileup!
yes, that incident reminded me of the ‘mash’ football game
—by the by, that was the first time I ever heard the F word in cinema…
“all right mac, your f…..ing head is coming right off!”
starting to ramble like Joe, now aren’t I?

Appropriate to In the Bleachers, the Apostle Paul was very familiar with the ancient games of Greece.
This appreciation was reflected in his letter to the church at Corinth:
Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it. Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a prize that will fade away, but we do it for an eternal prize. So I do not run aimlessly; I do not box as one beating the air. But I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be denied that which is eternal. (1Cor9:24-27)
Selah
I know you understand.

@Shaliach:
Now how can I box with tears in my eyes?
I have one week left to cry - then I play hockey and box like there’s no tomorrow. Thanks for the Word in football season!
