    @ Pookid54: all will be well. At least your hubby has a heart, unlike a lot of society these days.

    A TEAM
    Go to Hallmark cards, free e-cards and click on the Canada day hoops and yoyo card. It is hilarious.
    ……………………………………………………….
    Basketball - not for Canada. They have a real sport called hockey.

    Oh Canada we stand on guard for you……

    Canada the only nation that claims fencing as its national defence. ‘On guard, eh?’

    Roses are red
    Penguins wear blue
    Sometimes i like to say ‘A’ to you.

    To the ‘eh’ team: A. and hope you had a great Canada day!

    @EMET:

    Who is the best coach in sport’s history?

    Scotty Bowman (nine Stanley Cups), or Phil Jackson (ten NBA championships)?

    *This is not a trick question. They both have a helluva record.

    as a leaf fan i hate to say this, but it was probably Toe Blake of the Montreal Canadiens. It was his record Bowman broke, and had he coached as long as Scotty did who knows how many Cups he might have won.

    @yyyguy:

    Good point. We can’t really compare the greatness of a coach, or even a player from one era to the next. It’s impossible to measure.

    However, we have to consider that Blake coached the same team for 13 years, and was able to maintain a rhythm and consistency, whereas Bowman had possibly a greater challenge winning his titles with 3 teams (Canadiens, Penguins and Red Wings).
