I was thinking it was because there was a period after the word “forever” in the “suicide” note instead of a comma.
Being a writer, he should have known about proper punctuation.

How does He know that the glass was dropped and not
knocked to the floor when the victim slumped over?
I thought the wife did it because She is the only one who
talked with Her mouth closed! That is just as good a
reason as the stupid ones you give!!!

It was suicide, the man was a Mystery Writer, after all, and dropping the glass on purpose was to give the world his last, biggest mystery. Since he knew that his wife was cheating on him, he tried to frame her for his death, getting his revenge from the grave.

Even if he was poisoned, why would the glass have been on the floor? How does that prove anything?

I thought that since the body seems straight and not seated, he was poisoned in bed and moved to the chair later.

So you poison yourself and then put the poison back in your pocket; just in case you need to find it again?

A bigger mystery: why does Inspector Danger look like he has a hangover whenever he isn’t wearing his coat?

Bigger mystery, a typewriter versus a computer for a mystery writer?

The goofy criminals could have used the typewriter (probably the only one left in the county) to write the suicide note. But since they took the trouble to forge a handwritten note, a test could easily show whether it was actually written by the victim.

It was both of them. Her brother’s nose is different from hers. They are not related.
