INSPECTOR DANGER’S CRIME-QUIZ Do you love whodunit-mysteries? Are you a Columbo-fan? Would you like to be a detective too? Here’s your chance. The comic strip “Inspector Danger’s Crime-Quiz” by Werner Wejp-Olsen, world-renowned cartoonist, is a crime-puzzle challenging armchair sleuths of both genders and all ages to activate their Sherlock Holmes-gene to figure out the right solution and solve the case. The main characters are the tough and rough Inspector Danger, all criminals’ worst nightmare, and Alfie, his dim-witted assistant and still a rookie after seven years on the force. In just a few panels, a whole mystery plot is being presented with a number of suspects and clues for the reader to check out and by deduction come up with the right solution to the crime. These mysteries span from cold-blooded murders, safecracking and bank robbery to art thefts, kidnapping and every now and then even a Peeping Tom – all presented with a humorous twist. But in each strip – in each case, the reader has all the suspects and clues needed to come up with the right answer – and as a safety devise – a solution (printed upside down - sorry!).
DISCLAIMER All characters appearing in this comic strip are fictitious. Any resemblance to the real world, real crime scenes and actual criminals is purely coincidental, unintentional and not to be taken too literally.
To quote a famous Grook by Piet Hein:
“Taking fun as simply fun
and earnestness in earnest
shows how thoroughly
thou none of the two discernest.”
By the way - no animals were harmed during the production of this comic strip.

interesting lab- they can’t find out who it belongs to, but they can definitely say it belong to the killer, whoever he was

Just stripsearch…..

@mrbribery
That actually happens in crime investigation- the bullets retrieved from the victim match the gun barrel and such.

Judging by the dress that his ex-girlfriend was wearing, it’s a fairly warm time of year. Catching the flu then would be an achievement, so I think that the flu chap was guilty

I was going with the idea that flu dude was wearing gloves as well, the coat and scarf was to make the gloves look ‘normal.’

It doesn’t have to be cold for one to get the flu. This one was impossible to solve from the clue given. Usually there is a hint, albeit not always a good one. I honestly thought I’d like this strip but I think I’m going to stop reading it. It’s really rather idiotic. Slylock Fox is much better.

The reason this is lame is because the lab should have checked the bullets in the first place, at the same time that they examined the gun.

This strip is a prank on the masses, but it’s fun to dissect, and therefore entertaining. Sherlock Holmes enjoyed morphine.

I almost enjoy this strip more when the mysteries are this horrendous. The “good” ones end up being just kind of lame and not worth remembering.

In the original “Hawaii 5-0,” McGarrett bluffed a bad guy with this same ploy.

At least this time we got someone worthy of a thorough search.

Ah yes! The old fingerprints on the bullets clue. Columbo also solved a murder the same way.
route66paul said, 8 months ago
She has to be searched, just to make sure there are no more bullets

This solution was taken from an episode of Columbo. Only in his case, it was a bluff.
