Incidental Comics are familiar scenes from life - unfortunately, the camera is shaky and loud music drowns out the dialogue. Grant Snider's observations on art and creativity, complaints about growing up, and moments of self-examination are lightened by the occasional appearance of mythical creatures and imaginary places. It's a fascinating world to explore a couple times a week.

This isn’t funny, cabron. I’m a writer myself and I’ve done everything but the acid and shrooms.
Sometimes, not even disciplining yourself works.

Those all work for programmers, too. Only swap the MFA for a course in creative excuse-making.

I love the writing refuge in the tree… but to avoid distractions, you’d actually need to do away with all of those wonderful windows!

Programmers pick up steady pay (‘less you’re contracting), and your ideas become the intellectual property of the pointy-haired boss. It’s hard to live by your brush or pen, and you learn to not be above charity, more’s the pity.
