Wow, I don’t think Parton ended the song QUITE like that. XD
Wonder what Dolly would think.
ART NOTE: Masterful use of open panel borders and partially open balloons in Panels #2 and #3.
Still, being jealous of a vehicle?
Might be justified …
Roy had better hope Charlene doesn’t go all Carrie Underwood on that car of his.
Now I can’t get the durn song out of my head!
“King of Rod”? Shouldn’t it be “King of Road”? If that’s a shortened form, “King of Rad” would have been a pretty cool double entrendre.
Song or not I hope you’re not drawing from personal experience Bea. I know what it’s like for a car to come between you and an acquaintance, a few years back I scratched the car of a girl I knew and we pretty much became enemies since then. She had a lot of nerve too, I only went near the car to fetch her water bottle and her bad parking job is the reason I scratched the door.
Roy’s really “getting into Jolene” in panel one.Is that legal to show?;)
The “King of Rod” should work at a more leisurely pace. Take the scenic route. Ease through the gears, rather than stomping on the accelerator. Polish Jolene’s chrome and make her engine purr. Never take that sweet ride for granted.
Is everybody sure “King of Rod” has something to do with the car?
This is one of the loudest comics here. Which is great because it is high energy!!!!
I can see why she is miffed. Like a football widow, only he is on the road. Out of the house and driving with—— her.
