Some adults wistfully wonder what became of the imaginary friends of their childhood. Not Darin. His are sitting on the couch, too-constant companions sharing every strange moment of his cheerfully frustrated life. There’s Dewey the Dinosaur, with heart of gold and head of fluff, and Clovis, the Teddy Bear With Serious Anger Issues (and some very bad habits). An unemployed 30-year-old graphic designer, Darin lives in his father’s basement, which he also shares with the enigmatic Robert the Plant.

Robert the Wreck!

To bad that he’s not one of them man eating plants. If he was Clovis might not have much of a chance to do the things that he does to poor Robert.

Does Robert have a British or Australian accent? I hadn’t noticed before….

Robert the Plant is named after Robert Plant, lead singer of Led Zepplin, a British band, hence the accent. That’s why I keep wondering if there’s a book with Jimmy the Page in the house somewhere…

Yeah, I really didn’t see delayed gratification as something that would appeal to Clovis.

Just read on MSNBC that Robert Plant was bestowed the rank of Commander of the British Empire today (making him higher ranked than Jimmy Page’s rank of Order of the British Empire). Future story for Robert the Plant?

Clovis only had to wait until New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, or Chinese New Year. And if he were in Utah, he would just have to wait until July 24th.

Has Lucus Turnbloom gone on vacation?

ladywolf17 - I was wondering the same thing. He usually responds to people’s comments but it’s been a couple days. I took a look at http://imaginethiscomic.com/ and the only thing I saw was a comment by him implying that his RL was very busy.
