Not wearing helmets is self-culling. Saves little alien-guy the work.

I like that. Personally, I always wear a helmet, but I’m happy for that to be my choice.

If cyclists had to have their bikes chipped and insured, we could maybe get some recompense when we’re knocked over on the pavement. (We’d have to have our own chip scaanning equipment, of course).

I felt the same way when I had my Harley. I always wore my skid lid, but hated the idea of being told that I HAD TO wear it!

In the ER cyclists that don’t wear helmets are labels ‘organ donors’. But, you are right. If you don’t want to wear one, there is a huge need for donated organs so hey, no problem!

Cyclists should either have to wear a helmet or get off the road. Actually… they should just get off the road. When i’m in my car and a cyclist is up ahead, i like to make it as difficult and frustrating for that person as possible. “share the road” is BS.

If you have kids, and they ride bikes,I hope no one shares your utter disdain for cyclists.

The last person in a car that crowded me while I was on my bike ended up with a large dent in his passenger’s side door where I kicked it several times while wearing cleated bike shoes.
He called the cops, but the witnesses to the incident told exactly what happened. He ended up with a ticket for reckless endangerment, AND a several hundred(?) Dollar repair bill for his car.

Can you link that story? I’m sure something that dramatic would be written about somewhere, no? I’d like to read about that!

Woman I knew in Texas had a license for a hand gun, which she had conspicuously displayed sticking out of the back pocket of her riding jersey. If someone crowded her, she would use it.

In my experience (I rode a motorcycle for several years) if you don’t wear a helmet, you don’t have anything worth protecting.
