    This is right on. I’ve been camping many times when the neighboring tenters had no idea how easily sound travels through the tents. They talk and act as if they’re still in their house. You hear EVERYTHING.

    I thought cell phones meant the death of private conversation. That’s one reason why I don’t have one.

    Spent a lot of hours on one camping trip drifting in and out of consciousness while a guy was busily chatting up the girl in the next tent from mine. Finally, around 2:00 a.m., in a low quiet voice, I pointed out that it was now time to give up, and everyone go to his own damned tent.
