    I kinda had the same feeling but I’m not sure why. The only thing I could go on is that he rarely touches on the subject of Christianity but then there are a lot of churchgoing Christians (& practicing Buddhists like me) who generally don’t discuss their religious beliefs.

    The closest I like to get in comic strips to the “Them/Us” issues like religion & politics is the attitude strain between road bicycles and trail bicycles.

    I would go with @pcolli on the change or impress debate. If he were trying to impress her by going to church, he would at least pretend to be listening. Maybe. Or is he trying to impress her with is drawing?
