Especially the blonde ones. Anything that’s small (like their minds), they find it to be cute.

Wasn’t there a motorcyclist who died when he crashed and hit his head during an anti-helmet rally?

I don’t think those are motorcycle helmets. They look more like bicycle or skateboard helmets. And I have heard there are studies which claim that unlike motorcycle helmets, bike and skateboard helmets have done absolutely nothing to lower head injuries compared to non-wearers.

I have personally fallen down really, really hard while at the skateparks, and been grateful to have been wearing helmets on every occasion. I’m accident prone and ungainly, but I’m not dead yet. People do get a kick out of the sound my helmet makes when I fall onto my head, though.

My son found out bearings will freeze if you attempt skateboarding on a frozen pond. The board stopping and him not stopping and landing unhurt on the ice was a source of humor at family gatherings after that.
Skateboard/no helmet + maple leaves on wet roadway = concussion.
Was horrified when my son called me. It wasn’t him, but his best friend who was rendered unconscious. Not a source of humor at family gatherings.

Being a blonde (and not those bleached ones either) I resent that statement.

A nice poster man for wearing helmets is actor and land on his head survivor (without a helmet) Gary Busey. I wonder how much of his present behavior is related to the head damage?

Ask the Seau family if head trauma is something worthwhile to risk in the name misplacedd machoism.

I was riding my bike, and taking a corner on the street in Tokyo at about 10-12 mph. Guy in a car stopped at the intersection decided to pull forward, turning into me. I had to take the turn wide, went into the gravelly shoulder, and the bike went down hard (lacerated my knee, and made a spiral fracture in a bone in my hand). Afterward, I looked at the helmet and there was a circular dent right at the temple. Helmet saved me from a possible concussion, torn skin along the side of my head, and maybe brain damage.

What, you don’t dig his lobotomy scar?

Wha…? You know that lobotomies are surgeries for mental problems not treating head trama?
swr said, 4 months ago
Why is it that helmet use is almost unknown in Europe and heven knows they drive even worse then we do, and yet we never hear of a massive problem of major brain trauma over there. or does the socialized medicane just kill them off.

Maybe you need to look for statistics. Just because you have heard nothing doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.
