No foresight at all. You’d expect it with Hubris, but Kara should know better by now.

Kara’s speaking in sentences fragments. She’s saying something like “You should have seen your face when the bats came out. And then when the flashlight burned out I was so scared.”, so the two parts don’t really relate directly to each other.

Flashlights dim before they go out…could have seen his face…or the sentence fragment thing…

They’re both totally loony adrenaline junkies. The perfect couple. Gotta love that!

Rechargeable flashlight batteries fail in seconds after exhausting the charge. Take a crank flashlight and tie a string to something outside before heading in.

I’m a fan of those glowstick things, and got one of those crank am-fm-weather radio flashlights that also charges with solar power. Kara probably wasn’t connecting the two together necessarily, but with what Hubris was saying too. Definite thrillseekers, gotta love ’em!

Most people speak in fragments. And they look like their change in feelings has gotten amorous from fear.

These days, most bike locks include one key with a built-in LED. Hubris should have checked his keychain

I’m guessing the see your face with the flashlight out was done on purpose.
Wish I’d thought of that…
