Life's a series of ups and downs, which is good news if you're on a mountain bike.
Hubris! is the story of people who enjoy their weekends more than their jobs. Hard to believe, right? Wandering in and out of The Outdoor Galore Store, the woods, the skatepark, the river and trouble, they'll risk their lives and limbs to entertain you by entertaining themselves.
Grab your helmet and whatever toys that go with it. Spend your free time with Hubris.

I guess I’m a mix of Hubris and Kelly. Love the cave part, but not the waking up at false dawn part. Might be closer to Kara, but I don’t bother with make-up at the office.

I’ve discovered that without electric lights sun up to sundown quickly become your hours.

@Three Steps Over Japan
Yeah I am closer to Hubris, but Kelly falls in near with the cold cereal , except I Would tell Raye about the restroom tent while laughing all the way to the cave.

If subjected to primitive tent camping (when heck freezes over), I would be a well rested Lowell. I like clean bathrooms, a real kitchen, and not having to worry about storing food in a car.
But, I also love hiking, so there is a smidge of Hubris in there.

I am a bit of them all. I love waking up the embers, waking up with the sun, having others cook meals, and love smores. When I got camping I go to a camp site with showers and flushing toilets(had a bad experience with a outhouse).

Partly Kara, mostly Paste, as am perpetually a juvenile third wheel.

I guess I’d be Raye…except for the makeup. I’d gladly go without.

Like Hubris, up and messing with the fire
Out and about before everyone else is up scrounging for firewood
Have a nice fire going and coffee ready when my darling wife wakes up
Did I mention play with the fire?

The only bad part is crawling out of the sleeping bag in the cold to go to the bathroom. Worse if someone else is up and you actually have to go a ways.

Being a former boy scout, I’m more devote then Hubris. I’ve slept under the stars. I’ve tent camped when the temps are -10C (18F). I’ve even “bathed quickly” at those temps (quick jump in the lake, then sit in a fire teepee to dry).
.
I turned out somewhat ok.

Let’s see…
Start with RAYE (Up at 7:00, loves to read).
Add some KARA (Out of the office, no need for make-up whatsoever).
With just a dash of LOWELL (Bring on the s’mores! They’re great to enjoy while reading).

Kara with the last part of Hubris thrown in. Love exploring.

Actually I am more “the bear s**ting in the forest” type.

I would be like either Paste or Raye.
