Life's a series of ups and downs, which is good news if you're on a mountain bike.
Hubris! is the story of people who enjoy their weekends more than their jobs. Hard to believe, right? Wandering in and out of The Outdoor Galore Store, the woods, the skatepark, the river and trouble, they'll risk their lives and limbs to entertain you by entertaining themselves.
Grab your helmet and whatever toys that go with it. Spend your free time with Hubris.
Check out Greg Cravens' other strip, The Buckets.

“Or it would be, if ‘late night people’ could open their eyes enough to focus with…” Besides, with Paste’s tiny hands, he can’t hold a weapon of significant size to be a credible threat.

There’s dream time. It’s like a film festival in your head.

You ever think about sleep that way? You go into a dark room and more or less pretend to be dead for eight hours or so. No one panics, no one calls the hospital… “He’s been totally motionless off and on for a third of his WHOLE LIFE! Call 9-1-1!”

@Greg Cravens
Yeah, just like in “Nightmare on Elm Street”! Sleep equals death! Good times.

It’s my favorite third. The other two-thirds are too workish.

Look at it this way, Hubris…
He gets himself in way less trouble if he’s sleeping.

I usually get 6-7.5 hours of sleep, and that’s when I do best. If I get more then 8 hours, I get up with a headache and feel craptacular all day.

BTW we’ve helped Greg reach 150 on TopWebComics. It is amazing, that just 10 days ago, Hubris was near 400 in ranking, and now, we’re #150!!

I really do appreciate everyone who’s taken time out to vote Hubris the last few weeks. It’s more of a ‘webcomic’ thing, where the adventure/fantasy strips vie for top marks, I think, so it’s a huge deal to have climbed this far, considering there are about a bazillion strips on TWC. It’s fun, but the counts are monthly, so they start over on the 1st every month. I don’t want anyone to burn out and cease to enjoy reading the strip because of TWC. Not all of us have Allan’s will and enthusiasm. He’s a Herc’les, when it comes to supporting the comic strips… or is that Atlas? I can’t recall. Anyhow, We’re a hot item for June, but if it’s going to dim your enjoyment of Hubris, don’t feel like you need to put yourself out. I like everyone to read and enjoy the way that suits them best.

I`m with Paste on this. Morning People just don`t understand. sigh. On the other hand, they also don`t understand staying up all night to watch the sunrise. (they give some stupid excuse thingy about why not just get up early.)

Short form of the above comment:
The fact that you guys are reading is more important than rankings on somebody else’s website.
…
No matter how cool it is that Allan got us so high up.

I picked up this strip today. Seems like I have a hit with this one. It’s in my Morning Run lineup between Adam@Home
and Garfield.
