You’re going to really miss the old days when you see the type of people that will rediscover your old neighbor and make it trendy. Example The Upper West Side of NYC, previously called Harlem.

Hmmm…I kinda know what he means. I rarely go to my hometown, but its only a shell of what it was like, full of coffee shops and trendy stores. Don’t miss segregation though…..

One of my sisters lived on the upper west side of Tucson. Sneer, snark. Now she lives in “Mission Ridge”, the hot new community. Didn’t have to move an inch.

Yeah, unfortunately the educated and well off families left leaving the poor and uneducated with no one to guide and inspire them. Hence the creation of a self perpetuating under class.

So the other people who moved into your “village” can’t help “raise the child”?
bpullin said, 6 months ago
It takes 2 parents to raise a child. It takes a village to raise an idiot.

I lived in the projects in cleveland and I believe in the village plan. Back in the 50ies we were not a black and white place It was a village and when the black lady next door wacked me for being stupid my white mom said thanks.

True, the poor blacks are just so helpless without the white liberals. Why, they probably couldn’t feed themselves without your guidance.
