Jury of your peers indeed —
People who didn’t have the smarts to get excused v. people who were dumb enough to do the crime and get caught.
That works

No, there is no language in US law about “jury of your peers”. Just that a trial by jury is an option.

Getting called to jury duty shouldn’t be made out to be a bad thing. The only problem now is the media which will showcase the criminal act and practically convicts a person before they even get to trial. Granted there are cases where it’s open and shut, but it should go to trial for that decision. I can see why police won’t give details of a case.

Certain of us serve because we feel it is our civic duty to do so, and we serve with pride.
