Is she drawing for herself or is it for an art class at school?

It’s bad when your talent doesn’t match your taste.
Not many tuba players in rock bands.

But, sometimes, some people who have artistic talent haven’t been shown that they actually have it.
I have shown people who claimed they couldn’t draw how to do it and let them prove themselves that they were actually creative artists.
I had people say to me, “I wish I could draw. I can’t even draw a straight line.”
I told them, “If I want to draw a straight line, I use something with a straight edge, like a ruler of T-square.”
What sometimes looks like perfectly straight lines in a perspective drawing actually isn’t.

I’m afraid to ask what kind of people need to be told that a ruler can help draw a straight line…

Students who have to draw pictures of their geometry problems can be told to use a ruler to draw straight lines.
In fact, the basic principles of drawing actually involve using geometry.
You can use a variety of geometric shapes to draw people.
If a person knows how to draw stick people, I can teach the person how to draw people that look more like real people.
