How much damage has each done to America in the last year, I wonder?
But Republicans are still singing “Bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb-bomb Iran”. It’s the only tune they know.

Given the lowest rate of employment in over 30 years (as opposed to the fiction of the unemployment rate), the unmitigated disaster that is Obamacare, our new ineffectiveness in foreign affairs, even with nations supposedly friendly to us, and an administration that seems incapable of coalititon politics on even the simplest of matters I’d say the damage has been considerable.

    - “President Obama in a Car” seems to be another one of Mr. Payne’s templates.

There is another rate called the employment rate. This measures the percentage of the population that is employed rather than the false measure of what portion of workers are actively looking for work.

    .
The employment rate is at its lowest point since the 60’s. It is a far better measure of employment and unemployment than the fiction the BLS puts out.

“……our new ineffectiveness in foreign affairs, even with nations supposedly friendly to us, and an administration that seems incapable of coalititon politics ……”
    .
What, you mean forming a coalition that took down the despised dictator Gaddafi with no loss of American lives and at minimal cost?
    .
Or the combination of threat and negotiation that got the Russians on board to rid Syria of WMD nerve gas?
    .
Or the sanctions and coalition of U.S., Russia, China, France, Britain, and Germany that forced Iran to negotiate and take the first step toward elimination of nuclear development?
    .
Or the raid that got OBL with no loss of American lives?
    .
Or do you prefer the go-it-alone Bush/Cheny/Republican disastrous foreign policy that fights the wrong country with loss of lives of hundreds of thousands at a cost of $trillions?
    .
Really no comparison is there? In fact I’d say Obama has been brilliant, and well on his way to earning his peace prize.

Obama never met a murderous dictator he didn’t love, or a free people he didn’t hate.

^Similarly you couldn’t trust Washington, Lincoln, Jefferson, and Ted Roosevelt. I’ve always said you can’t trust anyone who has not run a business and has their face on a mountain. But you can trust George Bush who ran an oil company and a ML baseball team and Cheney who ran an oil services company.

You can trust them either to make a profit or run the company into the ground. Neither is appropriate for a government.

I think Enoki just misses the days of “cowboy diplomacy”, of “you’re with us or you’re with the terrorists”, and the halcyon days when Saint Ronnie single-handedly beat up the Soviet Union and America Ruled The World.
There seems to be a staunch belief in certain circles that America’s enemies fear a Republican President. After the last one we had, though, it seems that the entire world fears the idea of another Republican President- much as the patrons of a Wild West saloon fear the drunken cowboy that stumbles in, waving his shotgun around while looking for someone to take his frustrations out on.

Hundreds of thousands died to prove Rumsfeld, Cheney, “W” et al, were liars, and stupid. Trillions of dollars are being, and will continue to be, flushed down the toilet as well. It’s time we used some diplomacy. Don’t forget, we still have massive military superiority. (As a proven point of fact, it’s likely that poor tiny Israel also does!)

so gypsy8 if you are earning a living working but interested in gov affairs that makes you a “career politician” [lincoln was in office just 10yr total before becoming president]
