“Cruz-ter’s” last stand can’t come soon enough. BTW: Custer was only a Colonel at the time he led his men to an idiotic disaster (LOVE Bill Cosby’s take in his “coin toss” routine!).

The biggest only downside to Cruz being exposed for the hubris filled bag of hot air that he is, is that we probably won’t get to see him debate Donald Trump.

Still never got an answer from the birthers about whether Rafael Cruz is constitutionally eligible to be president of the U.S.

Whoa, Silver! Payne has stopped marching to the Right’s further and further right drum beat? Where now the middle ground, Mr. Payne? Will you next advocate allowing the ENTIRE House of Representatives to VOTE on this stupid minority Shutdown? Ask yourself, Mr Payne: are we living in a democracy or a talk radio idiocy?

Republicans are split on the shutdown/debt ceiling/ACA. The Tea Party libertarians are against the ACA for reasons which are completely false, and are also for shutting down the government and keeping the debt ceiling.

The mainstream Repbulicans (a minority of the Republican party) are for the ACA (a huge handout to insurance company executives) and against the shutdown and debt ceiling which are limiting the benefits the 1% get from the government.

We now see which group of Republicans Payne is with.

That would require me to pay attention to something Trump does.

It’s becoming more and more obvious that the Tea Party is a pack of fanatics who will slaughter their own when they fall even the slightest bit out of lockstep, and are willing to burn down everything around them if they don’t get what they demand. And the rest of their chosen party are too terrified of political-death-by-primary to do anything about it.
I’ve been accusing Democrats of being wishy-washy for years, but this lack of backbone in the Republican power structure takes the cake.

Senator Cruz probably hurt himself with all this but that being said it seems to be getting people to wake up, if our leaders are smart they might shape up.

    @Overtaxed

“Of course socialists have a long history of not being able to understand finances and economics, "

Here’s a simple example: lower your income (cut taxes) while starting not one, but two wars thousands of miles away, transporting troops and heavy machinery long distances at great expense. Seems elementary that when you reduce your income and raise your expenses, bad things will result.

Are you calling George W. Bush a socialist?

Once again, I cordially invite you to consult a dictionary and find out the true definition of the word “socialist”. I am not expecting that you will; up to now, it is obvious that you have not. But your lack of understanding does nothing to bolster your opinions.

    “Still never got an answer

That’s only because Murdoch hasn’t given them a good answer yet. Once fox starts selling a talking point ONLY then we’ll start to hear a reason."
    -
    You mean…
    Uh, no couldn’t be…
    Er, you’re implying…
    -
Fox “news” viewers cannot formulate an answer to a yes or no question by themselves?
    -
That would imply they cannot even think for themselves, but only parrot talking points supplied by Fox “news” or Rush Limbaugh, the drug addict?
    -
Nah, any minute now, lots of the Fox “news” viewers are going to say whether Rafael Cruz is eligible to be president.
    -
    Keep watching this space.

“Playone”: “Roadkill” can’t write anything (except on extremely rare occasion) without using the word socialist. Don’t expect him to find a dictionary and find out what the word means.

Don’t believe anything you hear Chris Mathews say on MSLSD.
