Wonderland/Oz/Narnia; even when they change they don’t really change that much. Bet it’s local service only. And don’t bother to put Arslan on speed-dial, he’s right behind you.

This probably would have been even more impressive in a color Sunday strip.

All the wounder and beauty of magical nature and all you care about is your cell phone. Also Unicorns have cell phones. Also didn’t you come this way to get candy from Todd?

Not unusual. when I was at SOU, I’d take exchange students to see the local wildflower displays and other local scenery. The American women were mainly interested in getting drunk and partying. Because of that lack of interest in anything but intoxication and sex, it was not generally known locally what the mountains near the college looked like in springtime. Hillsides covered with larkspur, poppies and siskiyou wallflowers. The california lilac and mockorange made for some pretty displays.

Sigh. I wish I was still in the area. I lived/worked/etc for more than 6 years in the Rogue and Shasta valleys. There was always something new and unusual to see. Graphite schist that made for a metallic springy silver soil where you bounced a little as you walked along it. (From just east of Applegate lake southwards into the Doggett creek drainage in California). Garnets in marble. Arsenic that made for red-colored springs, some like red pudding. Black rocks with hot pink centers (rhodonite deposits near Happy Camp). Ringtails. All sorts of endemic plants. First time I saw a Yerba Santa in bloom, I wondered what the heck it was. Native fuschias growing out of canyon walls. etc. etc.

For some of us, a fantasy wonderland would have NO cell phone coverage!

Our world used to look just like that before the humans trashed it.

I wonder how many other worlds Marigold’s home overlaps. Where there is one curtain there may be others.

The roaming charges must be astronomical.

kaykeyser: I had the same though. Was Todd out in the human world? And why are so many unicorns (Marigold and Lord Humility) hanging out in the human world when they have a very nice world of their own with cell phone towers?

This is SO much fun! : D The anticipation leading up to LSH’s birthday party is wonderful – I’m loving every second of the ride.
