It all started when Phoebe skipped a rock across a pond and accidentally hit a unicorn in the face. Improbably, this led to Phoebe being granted one wish, and using it to make the unicorn, Marigold Heavenly Nostrils, her obligational best friend. But can a vain mythical beast and a nine-year-old daydreamer really forge a connection?

There are a number of unbalanced elements in used in this series already. Maybe they need to use a harmonic balancer in the future…

I’ve called worse and with less reason. Besides, you can’t take good pictures if you’re hanging onto Marigold’s mane.

Oh Marigold, still seeing Phoebe as an accessory rather then a person? Look on the bright side Pheebs you could have been a porkpie. On the other hand, bears can ride unicycles while in fezzes how dare you let THEM show you up. How dare you let them show you “THEM!” for that matter. I’m sure Phoebe will understand and some day have her own unbalanced accessory to worry about. Don’t let the words of a unicorn get you down, being called a hat isn’t the worst analogy and you don’t know how hard it is to rollerskate when a 2nd person is ridding you. Marigold is probably comically bad at skating and doesn’t want to admit she’s not perfect. She probably can’t play ten musical instruments at once either. Some equestrians have talents others don’t and I think Marigold should admit that before she looses control and skids in to Dakota and sends her careening in to a mud puddle. On 2nd thought…

It takes some practice. Young horses need to learn how to adjust thier balance in order to canter or gallop with a rider on their back. Once they adjust they have no further difficulties. Its a bit like learning to ride a bicycle. Marigold could learn to skate with Phoebe on her back, if they both wouldn’t mind crashing a few times before she learns how to adjust her balance. An expereinced rider also knows how to adjust their seat and position to help the horse stay balanced.

: D Too much fun! I want Marigold to magic up a disco ball (and Phoebe needs some skates, too!)

Anyone playing a harmonica is unbalanced and unnecessary.

Invite Max and Dakota and Mom and Dad and Todd and play some Ally Cat, put out some chips and Kentucky Blue, boot up an Arcade cabinet of Rampage and put Ben Stein in the DJ boot and we’ll have a party reminiscent of the ones I went to.

@kaykeyser
No she is trying to be tactful. A rider would be too difficult to maintain balance with.

Does Marigold know that you can’t rollerskate in a buffalo herd?
