It all started when Phoebe skipped a rock across a pond and accidentally hit a unicorn in the face. Improbably, this led to Phoebe being granted one wish, and using it to make the unicorn, Marigold Heavenly Nostrils, her obligational best friend. But can a vain mythical beast and a nine-year-old daydreamer really forge a connection?

Why did the chicken cross the road?
So she could lay it on the line.

She must have lost some big money on the ostrich races.

“I cannot tell you why the chicken crossed the road, but I CAN tell you why you should NEVER cross the chicken.”

I don’t know why the chicken crossed the road, I’m still trying to figure out “Why a duck?”

MAR probably snubs jumbo shrimp and artificial grass too.

Why is a fourth-grader telling a joke she must have learned in kindergarten? Guess she says lots of things to Marigold that she wouldn’t to a human friend.

I agree with Marigold 100%. The motives of flightless birds are not my concern. If that chicken really wants to cross the road, then who am I to question her.
Masterius said, 4 months ago
Actually, chickens do fly, even domesticated ones. They aren’t strong fliers, but are easily capable of flying over fences and making it up into trees.

Marigolds last friend was must have been a dodo.

Why did the chicken cross the road?
To show the ’possum it could be done! :-)

Why?
To avoid getting fried.

@Jada Witmer
Chickens aren’t naturally flightless like the Kiwi and Ostrich.

They crossed the road to,
a) find more food.
b) escape a predator.
