It all started when Phoebe skipped a rock across a pond and accidentally hit a unicorn in the face. Improbably, this led to Phoebe being granted one wish, and using it to make the unicorn, Marigold Heavenly Nostrils, her obligational best friend. But can a vain mythical beast and a nine-year-old daydreamer really forge a connection?

It’s freezing, but I have to go to work anyway. At least I’ll avoid the Black Friday crowds.
Happy, happy, happy!!!

Me, I love the rain. It’s the sun I find annoying.

When I was Phoebe’s age, I used to love thunderstorms, especially in the summer.

Misery is concentrated.. Never two [problems], but three
.
Riding in the rain wasn’t my favorite. The horses would turn their rumps to the storm and hang their heads when they couldn’t get cover.

I don’t mind a little rain, but here where I live, we don’t get rain much. But when we do get rain, it POURS!

Maybe Marigold has some kind of misery concentration rain control powers? Actually she did control rain in a previous comic now that I remember. She could just make a nice warm sunny spot around Phoebe, like a shield of sunshine singing birds and happy flowersness.

Expect either too little or too much rain. Such is the changing weather patterns we have from the climate warming. That and 50% loss of Arctic ice over 50 years.

I always loved the darkened sky, the flashes of lightning and rumble of thunder. Unlike Phoebe who sees it as missed opportunity to play.

WhenI was in Elementary school, when it rained, wow. Everyone wore those rain coats with the hats, boots. We got to eat lunch in the classroom, or the auditorium for the cafeteria crowd, as they were next to each other. Movies all day, and games. Heads up, seven up the only one I remember.
Los Angeles didn’t get a lot of rain, so when we did, it was worth it.

There are four seasons in Maine: summer, fall, winter, and mud.

We have three seasons in West Los Angeles: Spring, summer and fog.
…
And there are two seasons in Seattle: Winter and rainy, but the residents don’t know which is which…
