It all started when Phoebe skipped a rock across a pond and accidentally hit a unicorn in the face. Improbably, this led to Phoebe being granted one wish, and using it to make the unicorn, Marigold Heavenly Nostrils, her obligational best friend. But can a vain mythical beast and a nine-year-old daydreamer really forge a connection?

Back in the eighties a guy was in a record store and heard one young girl say to another, “Did you know that Paul McCartney was with another band before he was with Wings?”

I seen/read High Fidelity, Rob Gordon owns a records store called Championship Vinyl, just like most record stores today losing to iTunes his store is not doing so well (Only this takes place before iTunes).

i wish i could get the same “fidelity” in digital that we got with analog.
its nice to not have the snap, pop, and hiss when you listen to a CD.
but something is missing.

Ambience (created by subtle snap, pop and hiss sounds, a subliminal Spector wall of sound)

As a creature of the wilderness, how did Marigold become aquainted with urban record stores? I thought she was above and beyond human culture.
My horse finds all lawns to be delicious too, and not always to the appreciation of the owners of those lawns.

In Columbus OH there’s a store that still sells records, named Magnolia Thunderpussy.

There is a cadre of people who just want to have vinyl records, none of that other cold recording technology for them.

Marigold you can have the lawn just please don’t eat the daisies. Love the expressions in the last panel. Also I too have a record store still open near me. There trendy among people who think Vinal is better then digital. Also bet unicorn horns can play records very well.

There’s still Randy’s Records in Salt Lake, but they sell mostly vintage stuff. I miss the long-gone Cosmic Aeroplane that was in SLC. They sold records, but mostly books.

Looks like it’s called “Top 10 Records.” I get a LOT of cool records at the Goodwill and the ARC store. Does a Unicorn Horn have a diamond tip?

@neatslob
…named Magnolia Thunderpussy.
That sounds like one of the characters from an old James Bond movie!
