Ours prefer plain old petroleum jelly to the malt-flavored stuff made specifically for cats.

I give my cats refried beans fortified with lard, 3 ounces lard per pound of refried beans for hairballs. I works. Kittens to six months get a #40 disher for adults a # 20 disher every week. The kitties love it. I haven’t had a hairball problem in years.

I had a cat who loved syrup. Also, string and rubber bands.
She loved to give her brother hugs and kisses just before a biting, scratching tussel! But he did the same to her, so it was even.

I grew up with a cat that LOVED (caps intended) the coconut pudding in Swanson’s Mexican dinners. She wouldn’t let the person whose dinner it was even eat the pudding!

I read about a cat was raised in a faterny for the first 5 years of his life and ate pizza, dagwood sandwiches, etc. :-)
