Funny, as a kid, I don’t recall being bored during summer.

Neither do I. Outside, playing all day, every day.

Funny, all of my friends used to want to play ‘school’ in the summer (and they were the ones who cheated off me in spelling tests). Hello! I have an in-ground swimming pool and a (lumpy) pool table plus Dad’s train sets in the basement. Let’s have some FUN!

Remember, these poor kids live in a tenement on a busy street … Where is there to play ?

Summer was always full of fun for me. And if there were times when there was nothing to do, so much the better! Watch the clouds roll by, or just use your imagination. Summer was never a bore.

Those kids live in a building that has upwardly mobile people. Remember,Mrs. Angelini works for Heart’s mom. They live in center city Philly and many parts have been gentrified going back fifty years. They live in walking distance of Rittenhouse Square that has room to play.

If you referring to my avatar, just so you know…
    It’s a pair of Sun-Glasses, not a bra…

Secondly, if you still think that my avatar is a bra,
    You’re CREEPING Me Out!

Of course if you meant it as a joke…
    WARN me next time will’ya!!

We had 6 weeks of little league and then 6 weeks of pick up games.

Neither was I, and it always seemed to last such a long time, too. Not like now, when even years just whiz past.

Ahh those halcyon days of our youth… playing baseball almost every day, if we could get 6 kids together a baseball game broke out…lol, long walks in the woods and swamps, playing army, building tree huts, it was a wonderful time to be a child, no big fears for children playing out of doors. Time is always measured by an individual by the length of his life. When you were 10 a year was a tenth of your whole life, when you are 50 its one fiftieth. Of course it seem to go by faster, time is relative. And let us not forget memory is often selective, we remember the great times of summer and slip past the rainy days and lost toys.

I never before realized that sunglasses can look so much like a bra!
