This is where Hart learns the meaning of the term “Substitute Standard” AKA take it and like it or else.

At least she knew what she wanted, where it was, and ran for it. The only thing worse than being stuck behind someone taking their time to “run” after an item is being the checker the waiting customer has to stare at with growing impatience and there’s nothing you can say or do to make the situation better, you just have to stand there and be the mental punching bag for irate customers.

I was thinking more along the lines of “What, she left Heart alone in the cart while she ran off”?

Is this an American thing? I don’t think I have ever seen “potato bread” in Canada.

You are correct. I’ve been wondering if Mom is dating anyone. Shame for all that to go to waste.
