Don’t anger the person who’s fixing your dinner, an important rule in life. They might refuse to serve you food, if you’re lucky.

Maybe someone needs to take Heart over to a soup kitchen, where she can see kids who have NOTHING at home to eat and who haven’t had a fresh vegetable in their whole lives.

An old friend is a social worker and about 10 years ago her teenage daughter was ranting that her mom was just “horrid, you are an abuser”. Friends response, took her to the local children’s home for one of the open counseling sessions. On the way out her daughter hugged her and told her she was a good mom.

I whined like that when I was a kid when it came to certain foods. Now, I can eat stuff like that with the exception of “Liver & Onions” and “Chiterlins (Chit-lins or Pig Intestines)!” Yuck!

I applaud your friend’s response to her daughter!
