I remember back in the day when you could sit and watch the movie over and over again. I did that with "Goldfinger"and I did see things I missed.

Or keep changing things so people like him will see it over and over, buy each copy, etc like George Lucas does.

Just before VCRs, we little kids saw Star Wars multiple times.

13 times in the theater over almost a year.

That theory is closer to truth than you might think. I often see details the 4th or 5th time I watch a movie that I didn’t notice before. It took my daughter to point out the little boy’s ghost in “3 Men and a Baby”, while watching it on video cassette before I even noticed him. He’s there all right.

In the La Times Avenger’s director Josh Whedon was quoted:

“So which misfit crew is Whedon’s favorite?

“You know, I love all my raggedy children,” he said. “But if I could be anywhere, I’d be on board Serenity.” "

Yeah. Me too, brother, me too.

If you had an idea as successful as Star Wars, wouldn’t you milk it for all it’s worth? The fans practically forced Steven Speilberg to make a 4th Indiana Jones movie; and I still think he should make one more to give Indie a chance to pass his hat to his son the way it was passed to him. .That story line could go on ad infinitum.

…and the movie “Clue” was made intentionally with several endings.

Where are Dean and Heart getting all this movie money? Even a matinee is $7 or $8 nowadays.

If they showed “Endless Love” today, I wonder how many girls would see it only once?

Yes, I remember when “Titanic” first came out the reason it did so well was because of all the teenaged girls going back to see it again and again.

That was not a ghost. It was a cutout of one of the actors when they were a kid. I think it was Ted Danson.

Obviously girls never watch movies over and over again. Thus my wife seeing “Chocolate’” like 70 times or my daughter watching “Titanic” and the “Notebook” tot he point of being able to quote whole passages would never happen!
