”Stupid Action Hero?!?!” FYI Heart the Green Hornet was the “snizz” when I was growing up!! & I also loved Bruce Lee as G.H’s sidekick Kato!

You bet! The Green Hornet and Kato (Bruce Lee) where the bomb when I was growing up also! I’m surprised Hollywood haven’t made movies about them like they have with Superman and Batman!

Eh…go for one of The Watchmen, Dean. Still “indy” and “geeky” enough because not so make people “got it” (darn political and 20+ year-old Cold War plot undertones), but it was a major motion picture this year. ;)

Josh you spoke too soon. Seth Rogan will be playing the Green Hornet in a 2010 release. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0990407/

catqueen, thanks for that link! I hadn’t heard they were making a GH movie, although apparently Dean knew all about it. I’ll be waiting anxiously to see if Mr. Rogan can do the part justice!
Green Hornet trivia: How many remember that Britt Reid (the original GH) was actually the grand-nephew of the Lone Ranger? Dates back to the golden days of radio.

Thanks loads also. I’m at work, but the boss don’t mind me using his computer every now and then.

Careful, Dean. The same impulse would have had you dressed up as The Spirit last year, and think what an awkward memory that would be now.
I’d agree with M S. Just get yourself a different mask, and you can go as Rorschach. Even if people don’t know the character, they’ll be creeped out anyway.
(Don’t try to do Dr. Manhattan. Maybe here in SF, but it wouldn’t fly in Philly.)

Superman came from Metropolis
The Green Hornet has Kato
And a car called Black Beauty
Superduper flew through the air
And has never been the same since

Heart, how can you dis the Lone Ranger’s grand nephew?

Batman met GH & Kato on his 60’s show. You’d think he’d team up with Superman, but no. Just GH and Kato passing on through.

The special effects needed for a Superman crossover would have exceeded Batman’s budget.
There’s a great story about the Batman/Green Hornet crossover. There was a fight sequence called for between Kato and Robin. Robin was simply Burt Ward, of course, but Kato was BRUCE LEE, and Ward was VERY MUCH aware of that. On the day of the shoot, Lee shows up on the set in a FOUL mood. All day long, he won’t talk to anybody, he just stands around scowling. When they’re getting ready to film the fight, Lee goes into a VERY serious Crane Pose (or whatever), and gets that bug-eyed, high-intensity “Bruce Lee” look on his face (you know the one). Ward sort of tiptoes to his mark, and says, his voice trembling, “Uh, Bruce…? You know this is just play-fighting, right? We’re buddies,…aren’t we?” Finally, Lee busts out laughing, and is joined by the whole crew. The whole thing was a set-up.
