That’s why you cook the pork and test the internal temperature before eating. Who eats raw pork anyway?

I’m glad this strip concept made into or onto the media.
They’re great little reminders of things we should know but would research ourselves…Thanks

I don’t know anyone who would not cook pork thoroughly. We have been schooled for decades to make sure all pork products were cooked through because of trichinosis worms. By the same token, if similar tests were run on raw chicken, fish or beef results could be similar. Any variety of raw meats contain all sorts of little nasties. Make sure they are all properly cooked.

The amount of cooking required to make pork safe has been greatly exaggerated for decades. My mother had a professor in home economics at Cornell about 70 years ago who ran down every case of trichinosis that he could find and discovered that they resulted from people eating pork that was practically raw. It is very important to cook pork, but it is a myth that it needs to be well done.
