The innocent and naïve pig protagonist, Ham Shears, moves to the big city to try and make something of himself and mistakenly ends up working at a butcher shop. The well-meaning Ham doesn't make the connection between animals and meat products while the titular and eccentric "Boss" of "Boss's Butcher Shop" doesn't seem to notice the implications of hiring a pig to work for him.
Uncomfortable encounters with butcher shop customers ensue and eventually Ham Shears meets two girls from the neighborhood, the plucky Jill and no-nonsense Ingrid. They end up befriending Ham Shears and get wrapped up in the day-to-day weirdness that comes from knowing an anthropomorphic pig.

Oh, this will get interesting when Hamshears does actually ask out Jill out for Boss… when Boss actually means Ingrid (“Other Jill”).

Ooh, nice prediction… I’d say that’s very likely.
Also, it’s funny looking to go back and forth real quick between today’s strip and Monday’s. Ham does “The Spit-take Seizure”.

Good drawings of his facial expressions, too.
