If there’s one thing everybody has in common, it’s getting older. From newborn babies to baby boomers, there’s no escaping it. “Gray Matters” is skewed to that vast generation of boomers. But since getting older means adapting to changing circumstances, lots of readers, old and young alike, can relate to and laugh along with our characters. Don’t let the name of the strip throw you. The cast of “Gray Matters” is anything but colorless as they struggle to keep up with the rapid changes in society, culture, technology, the workplace, their families and, of course, their bodies.

Maybe someday we will actually get cable out here where I live…

You aren’t missing anything. We got rid of our cable over a year ago. Saving a bunch of money. More time to do things. Less crap rotting our brains (MSNBC)

I haven’t paid for any type of TV for 8 years now. I have two little ones and it is great that they are not being pummeled by the media trying to get them to buy things.

I have a dish, and had cable. I am more satisfied with the quality (even with the outages during storms) . And I am paying less for more channels.

Of course, I NEVER said I would get Television even if we DO get cable! I could get a dish anytime, but I DON’T want it!
I have been very happy not being a regular T.V. viewer for over 10 years!
And, when I do get a chance to watch, when visiting someone who does have it, it seems to be the extension of the old song..“500+ Channels, and NOTHING’S on!”

Don’t have cable or satellite and can’t get any local tv with an antenna. Been like this for over 10 years now. Very happy with our choice. Even when we end up in a hotel room with cable, we try it but just can’t keep it on over an hour or so because there isn’t anything worth the time.

There’s nothing worth watching…so why pay to watch nothing? I’d rather read a book.

You are missing a great deal. Depends on your interests. I watch the Science and History channels among others. It is all in what package you get.

Compared to Fox “News” MSNBC is an anodyne for brain rot. So is Current if you get it.

Doubtful you went through all 500 channels.

Hey…at least he is being honest.

Have experienced much that you all have. Haven’t had TV in 20 years. Get DVDs from local library system. FREE is good- unless you ahve late fees. Usually history, travel or something that we can learn from.

CurrentTV is now Al-Jazeira America. They have switched from liberal propaganda to Al-Quaida propaganda (not much difference). But, since you like MSNBC, you will probably LOVE Al-Jazeira.
