If there’s one thing everybody has in common, it’s getting older. From newborn babies to baby boomers, there’s no escaping it. “Gray Matters” is skewed to that vast generation of boomers. But since getting older means adapting to changing circumstances, lots of readers, old and young alike, can relate to and laugh along with our characters. Don’t let the name of the strip throw you. The cast of “Gray Matters” is anything but colorless as they struggle to keep up with the rapid changes in society, culture, technology, the workplace, their families and, of course, their bodies.

Gray, whatever you do, don’t ask her why you “Dial” a phone, or where to get a “Phone Cord”.
Not to mention finding a Cassette Player, or a 45 adapter disc for your Record Player!

I remember programming on punch cards! And the first “portable” computer that had a battery case the size of a suitcase – and HEAVY. And floppy disks that were 8.5" :o)

BTW, do you remember the notation on the bottom of some bills that came on the Punch Cards?
“Do NOT Bend, Fold, Spindle, Or Mutilate?”

Just wait about 5 years, and the USB flash drive will be obsolete, and all the electronics will be out of date. New technology will be out. Can you imagine what your grandchildren will have when they are your age?
