Grandma: I ache today. One's body generally gets worse as one ages. Michael: Go to a body shop! Grandma: Thankfully, one's sense of humor generally gets better.
My sister’s father-in-law started stroking out at 80. As he aged over the next ten years, every time I saw him he’d say, “It’s hell getting old.” That was, at least, while he remained coherent. He reached a point where he was incommunicado a few years before his passing at 90.
