    Yeah, we have one of those. Fortunately, we only use it as a computer monitor.

    Ah, yes, like my son’s techno contraption. For some functions one needs two remotes. The old antenna on the roof and B&W TV are beginning to look better all the time.

    That remote needs a tether attached to a helium filled balloon. The tether should be just a little shorter than the distance from the ceiling to the top of the table. Be careful of ceiling fans, tho.

    Oh, wait a minute. wouldn’t that be fun!?!? Tether the remote to one of the blades of the ceiling fan, put the fan on ‘slow’, and have it smack you on the side of the head every few seconds?

    Or maybe just tie it to the ceiling fan’s pull string.

    Oh, wait. I know people who have remotes for the ceiling fan, too.
