Set your goals low enough to be attainable, but at least high enough that you need to work at it.
    .
You get more muscles that way.

Sounds like the kid has a report coming up on the life of Chester Arthur. 10 pages should be enough.

Based on how the kid (Michael) is dressed, I’d say the teacher is his role model…

He’s a good teacher. At least he’s attempting to inspire the kids. These kids may never see this sort of altruism from a teacher again. In middle school the teachers become jaded and corrupt, because of sports. The kids will have to guard against being placed in classes with no books or teaching, in order for the school to buy more sports equipment. Education will be rationed and sports will be mandatory. Now I’m not saying public middle school teachers/coaches and administrators are as dishonest as a fly-by-night car dealership. I’m saying they are as morally bereft as a long-time meth addict.

@commicssfan. Wow! Bad experiences with teachers? I have eleven teachers in my family and they are all good hard working people!

I was shanghaied onto the football team while at the same time placed in math classes with kids projected to drop out. This means no teaching and no books. If parents don’t fight for you, this is what happens to you. The teachers can sense they can take advantage of you, and they do. Teachers are not there for the kids. Why not use textbook money on game day uniforms?
