    If I had given an answer like that to my grandmother, she would have taken a switch to me.

    @WillardMBaker

    my grandmother would have just stared me down and made me feel bad for back talking, BUT I would never have ever in my wildest dreams ever have talked to either my grandparents or my parents for that matter in this way. It is called RESPECT.

    It beats an orphanage – at least for the kids.

    Because they are orphans and she is their guardian.

    My dog has it good. Sometimes, she gets a can of cat food, other times a can of dog food. I treat the dog food as though it were cat food; ie- put a little water in it, stir it up and pour that in a tiny bowl for the cat, then the rest in a bigger bowl for my dog. The dog thinks she’s getting cat food each time. The cat gets fed first. They are both satisfied.

    Of course he should feed the dog. But my brother and I were humans and my mother never fed us. We were locked out of the house and no one cared, although some noticed. Our stray cat got some food from us, if we could get some milk or cat food from the grocery store. And it would wander off and probably other people were feeding it, too.
