Grand Avenue stars Kate Macfarlane, an avid sports fan who powerwalks to stay in shape. Not your typical cookie-baking granny, Grandma Kate has her hands full with her terrific twosome, who are best buddies even though their personalities clash. Gabby is an ambitious, newspaper-reading little girl who plans to become a billionaire before she's 30. Her brother Michael is a more sensitive soul who prefers riding his skateboard or performing scenes from Shakespeare to just about anything else.

Because you believe the so-called size charts.

Yeah, back when Al Gore first invented the Intertubes, you could buy clothes that fit. Since then, I think the manufacturers have been pandering to the ever fatter Boomers. I recently purchased some slacks (IRL), 33 inch waist. They are bigger than some of my older slacks with 36 inch waists.

All my bills are auto-pay except my credit card bill. I love it that way.

I still mail the checks to pay bills and I never order clothes online. In fact, we rarely order anything online. Books, dvds maybe, but it’s rare. We got compromised once and we said never again unless it’s online gift cards.
