    Upon thinking about this, it may be an appropriate ANALogy.

    Well, we know the 1986 amnesty didn’t work. Let’s give that up and work towards something else.

    Not altogether true: the 1986 amnesty was just done to take care of the prior mess. It became Congress’ job to ensure this didn’t continue. Looks like expecting Congress to do its job didn’t work. Let’s give that up and work towards something else.

    Perhaps a new Congress? Voters take your marks, get set…….

    I think you’re making unsubstantiated assumptions here.

    I prefer to believe Mr. McCoy subscribes to the philosophy: “Never let the truth stand in the way of a good story.”

    Something like executive orders?

    Oh, wait! I think I heard somebody say that it’s unConstitutional for our Chief Executive to issue Orders.

    For every person who dons a suit of armor, there is a smart-aleck with a can opener.

    The fence MAY cure the symptom, but does nothing to cure the cause. This is just bad medicine.

    Build a Kevlar fence a mile high and 2 miles thick. Electrify it. Put in trip wires and heat-seeking mines. Offer jobs, and people will find a way to get past the wall.

    Open the borders completely. Don’t offer jobs or benefits. No one will want to come here.

    We have the laws in place: it is illegal to hire illegals. We don’t have the will to enforce them.

    Several years ago, the local Wal*Mart was found to not only have illegals providing cleaning services after hours, they were actually sleeping and living in the back rooms of the store. See if you can guess how many were prosecuted.

    Good one, Mr. McCoy! Although some people would call this cartoon strip offensive or sick, if we slide into Mexico illegally, a US citizen would get locked up like that US Marine that still in that Mexican jail! Why do libs hate America? They don’t want to make it better, but worse.

    @gammaguy

    A true conundrum. Your house is on fire. You’ve called the fire department numerous times, but everyone is playing foosball and no one is answering the phone. It’s against the law for you to fight your own fire, but hey, your house is burning down. What to do, what to do……
